John was born in
London, Ontario in 1946
He grew up on a dairy farm on what is now
Shain Road, near Gladstone.

Secondary School
Graduated from Ridgetown Agricultural College
in 1966
Began with Purina in 1968, and remained with them for
10 years
Married Marietta September 5, 1970
Farmed near Mount
Elgin from 1974-1989
Salesman for Northrup King from 1977-1982
Was a director of the Ontario Federation of Agriculture for 10
yearsWas Provincial Director for 3 yearsPresident of
the Ontario Federation of Agriculture in 1984

John was the key salesperson for Hope FM 94.3 in Woodstock
from January 2004 until he became ill with cancer in April of
2006
John was the chairperson
of Ingersoll & District Inter-Church from 2005-2006
John & Marietta
were married for 36 years, and have 3 children, and 3 grandchildren
John died October 8, 2006 in the Woodstock General Hospital ten
days shy of his 60th birthday
John will always be remembered
by his contagious smile, and his strong faith in the Lord.
